Regulatory T cells play a central role in maintaining self-tolerance and have great potential in improving the management of autoimmune diseases and organ transplantation. In order to set up preclinical projects and clinical trials of organ transplants or autoimmune diseases, the production of cells for therapeutic purposes requires the respect of drastic handling and culture conditions, and therefore of know-how, which we try to consolidate. Through the acquisition and mastery of a clinical grade flow cytometer, we are able to evaluate the applicability under GMP conditions of CAR-Treg generation process or optimized amplification of Tregs for therapeutic trials.
