The Laboratory of Cell and Gene Therapy (LTCG), Department of Biotherapy at Necker- Enfants malades Hospital, has expertise in immunohematology and innovative therapies. The LTCG supports clinical trials of cell therapy and gene therapy for hereditary diseases by targeting hematopoietic stem cells (CD34 +). To be able to treat stem cells from the bone marrow, it is necessary to reduce the red blood cell (erythrocyte) content as much as possible before the CD34 + cells can be selected and subsequently modified in the clinical trial.
